Poseidon Restaurant Beach Bar — Restaurant in Municipality of Chania

What a shame, I would have left a 5 star review as the food, service initially by the older guy and the young man was fantastic, as was the setting being right on the beach. However when we came to pay our bill was slightly more than the amount of cash I had on me so we asked to pay by card, after waiting 15 minutes (granted they were busy and we weren’t in a rush) we did ask again politely if we could pay again, this time we asked a different waiter, muscley looking, he was arrogant and rude and told us he had to come back twice to pay by card and walked off then walked back past and ordered us to follow him. We walked to the bar area whereby he aggressively spoke to the older guy who was lovely actually and the other guy stormed off after clearly shouting at the older guy in Greek! Felt sorry for the older guy to be honest, the bill was 32 euro but he took the 30 euro cash off me and apologised! Shame as the food and initial service by the older guy and the smaller waiter...

Poseidon was the only restaurant we’ve been to for more than twice :) Staff is just so positive, smiling, happy and professional that I am speechless. They have all the domestic food Greece has to offer, also, they have locally made wines (white and red) which you simply a must, it’s out of this world. There are few Chania typical dishes you can ask for if you are looking for as much as possible authentic experience.

Huge parking if you are driving there, or beach accessible walk-in.

Prices are pretty much around the average on the island. I wanted to recommend a dish or two but then realized that it is more than that so, when you get here just ask for anything typical Greek food and it will be awesome.

This restaurant is a gem! Me and my friend came for drinks at the beach bar as the location seemed nice. The drinks were good and we decided to have dinner at the same restaurant.

We asked the kind waitress whether we could have a table just in front of the beach and she was happy to reserve the table for us.

In a while, very friendly waiter came to ask what we would like to eat. He gave us good recommendations and the wine he recommended was just on point (try: MANATOYZIA) 👌🏼
