Iokasti restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Chersonissos

Our first meal out in Greece, Crete, Koutoulafari ever was the best we had. We visited for lunch, desperate to get some greek flavours quickly and we ended up choosing one of the closest places to where we were staying, meaning we walked passed every day and had to resist returning for another meal. Not that we didn't want to - we just wanted to try other places!

We ordered a Cretan salad and Stuffed onions, but we were offered a small taster of bread, tomatoes and feta, with a sprig of oregano. The Cretan salad was absolutely huge - an entire block of feta, which was too much for one person, so deliciously shared!

After we had finished, we were offered a milk pudding dessert, again complimentary, and absolutely yummy (this may have been the reason we wanted to return!).

Great food and service, we have been before but somehow I didn't do a review, fantastic place, from the rooms to the restaurant and so friendly, food has been amazing, the breakfast was so much we've had to ask for half the amount.

The staff is super nice and the food and drinks always come really fast. The owner is a lovely person and made me and my family feel really welcome. The food is amazing, the flavour and quality are on point. I really enjoyed the food that we came back twice.
