Jasmine House — Restaurant in Municipality of Chersonissos

On our visit the initial service we recieved was very good, our order was taken quickly and the food arrived in a reasonable time. Although not outstanding, the food was nice and enjoyable. The reason for low stars was that we were left sitting there and basically ignored for over 1/2 hour once we had asked for the bill. After asking a second member of staff for the bill a complimentary plate of warm chocolate waffles, orange segments and grapes arrived, yet still no bill. The chocolate sauce from one on the waffles, oused out all over my top and shorts so was not best pleased. After another lengthy time waiting we had to ask a 3rd member of staff for the bill and finally it arrived with and was placed very heavily on the table with no apology. Although I accept giving people their bill is not top priority and serving new customers is, waiting this amount of time just stops the use of the table for others and just annoys those wanting to leave. My wife is mixed race Hong Kong - Japanese, and we live with our 2 daughters in Glasgow, which has a long established, now 3rd generation Cantonese community. We visit Hong Kong regularly, and of course, enjoy Cantonese cuisine weekly in Glasgow. So, with this as our background, to.say that the food in Jasmine House in Stalis is absolutely A* quality, fresh, delicious, really top class cuisine. The food is excellent and the staff are friendly and helpful, that is all the staff except the manager. Unbelievably the person who owns the place let's it down with his arrogant and ignorant attitude, is it so difficult to bring the bill within half an hour, tell potential customers that they have actually closed even when walking past them. Other people have commented that the food and ambience is wonderful but the boss with white hair is rude and must be making his money too easily, he's letting his restaurant down and his very good staff deserve better, if he doesn't want to be there then leave or...
