Stayed in the hotel next door, so this restaurant was very convenient. Had breakfast here most mornings, dinner once and dropped in for drinks. It is run by lovely, warm, friendly people, the food is lovely, and there is a nice atmosphere here. My friend and travel companion said they served one of the tastiest moussaka's she'd ever eaten and it was homemade in house. The Chef is very good. The restaurant is on the edge of town, but not miles away, you don't have to walk far to reach it. The menu prices are half what you will pay along the main strips, and food is better quality. I had a cooked breakfast and coffee here every morning, and it filled me up for the day. Thr menu is not exclusively Greek cuisine, I had a delicious stone baked Margherita pizza made from scratch, but their Greek dishes are as nice as anyone else's in the town. Highly recommend this restaurant, it's a lovely place to eat, watch the world go by, they do have sport channels on the TVs in the evening, but the volume is off, they have soft music playing in the background. They welcome everyone, and are not set up solely for the young crowds that visit Malia, families, couples, single people everyone seems...
Read moreWe are on holiday in Malia and we're looking for a place for lunch. We tried this place and WOW!!
Prices are cheaper then eating in hotels, drinks are larger for same price. I had a Mexican burger, my wife a schnitzel and my boy had the fajitas. All portions were ginormous ( i had to help him finish the fajitas, they give you 4, 2 salsas and cheese and a tray of chicken hot off the grill to assemble it).
Recommend to any foodie who likes bigger portions. Well impressed and at the same time disappointed we didnt discover this...

Ordered the chicken gyros which looked lovely, but on tasting it, it was no more than tasteless grilled chicken, I was very Disappointed to say the least. But the wine made up for it and the price, was good too. I've definitely had better gyros in Kavos. Maybe it's because it's very early in the season, who knows but I will go back because of its convenience. Just needs some...
