Philoxenia pool restaurant bar — Restaurant in Municipality of Chersonissos

We only stayed one night as we were spending a week at the other end of the island. The building, although it appears dated, is nicely decorated and well-equipped with modern amenities. The rooms and beds were very comfortable. It isin a good location if you like busy area, and it is close to a very nice, but crowded, beach. The spa facilities looked really good, although we didn't have time to use them. The only slight negative for me was the staff. They didn't seem very attentive or interested. In my experience, Greeks working in the hospitality sector are probably the most hospitable people in the world. However, at Philoxenia it was difficult to get the attention of staff if you wanted more drinks or wanted to pay for your drinks. We also witnessed the restaurant manager (owner?) asking one poor guy to move tables half way through his meal as he was alone at a table for four. It wasn't very busy when we got there well after 10:00 pm. Good music. The manager (owner?) helped us when we approached the bar to order drinks. After a short discussion about the brands of beers available, we ordered an Eza beer & a mojito which he called out to the bartenders for us. We sat at one of the tables with 2 seater lounges & one of the bartenders brought over a small bowl of crisps followed shortly by our drinks. The mojito was very good, one of the best we've had on this trip. The Eza was draught in a double pint glass, much larger than I had expected. Yesterday night, me and my family decided to visit Philoxenia pool Restaurant & Bar for food and drinks as we had heard the best words from everyone in Malia and after reading excellent reviews. We had great time there!!! I cannot express how beautiful environment is!!! Such relaxing and peaceful place gazing at the fabulous pools and high quality hotel facilities!!! The food is fantastic.. So delicious!!! Only Great quality of products chef use and always fresh as the owners told us. Cocktails also, were pretty tasty.
