Palmera Seaside Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Chersonissos

Honestly, I must say I’ve travelled the world and tried many different high end restaurants. This place has the most perfect octopus I’ve ever had. The waiter told us how they dry it in the sun and dispatch the octopus in a certain way to make sure it’s very tender. They then after a few days of drying; soak it in wine and grill it.

It’s honestly by far the best way I’ve had octopus, he told me there is many ways to do it and only one way is better than the creatian way (some island between kos and Rhodes)

The flavours were so rich, with the chargrill flavour but not overpowering, with the juiciness still intact. Full of flavour and the perfect texture. Like perfectly cooked chicken.

For the main I had the lamb, you cannot go wrong with this Greek staple, the meat was perfectly cooked, flavourful and well seasoned: it came with the perfectly cooked potatoes and artichokes. Both perfection.

I don’t often leave reviews but I felt a need to do this based not only on the perfect service from our waiter who told us all about the island, the local area and his personal life when we asked about his culture and customs (it’s Easter weekend here)

In my opinion, this restaurant was by far the best in the area, if not during our entire vacation in Greece.

The staff down by the water on the terrace are simply top class. Super friendly, courteous, professional. I would like to say this explicitly because we have been there twice and the waiters have done a perfect job each time.

Together with the location on the waterfront, the staff create a great atmosphere and cater to every wish.

The food was very good every time, as were the cocktails (we can recommend the signature palmera cocktail), the beer and the wine. When it comes to wine, it's best to ask the staff what they can recommend.

There is also vegetarian Moussaka that I can only recommend!
