Visited here 2 times now, for quick lunch and dinner.

Food has been good both times, not anything extraordinary, but fresh and very good standard. Hence 4/5. Theres absolutely nothing wrong with it, but 5 is for the extraordinary.

Large portion sizes, I couldn't eat the whole mixed grill, and neither could wife finish her Stifado. I understand theres a reason, but could be (a bit) smaller to not waste food. And yes I usually eat a lot!

Good prices too. 2 appetizers, 2 mains, house wine, mineral water and 2 drinks afterwards was only about 80€.

Friendly service, and nice atmosphere with classic rock music which isn't played too loudly. So you can have a normal conversation.

Just don't get a table from the left side of the restaurant if you don't fancy listening the noise from the...

The White Lion. Does exactly what it says on the tin... The stifado is a must, melt in the mouth beef, no need to chew (you won't find better anywhere else) The Pork Shank leaves no room for dessert and just fall's off the bone. Gyros, well who wouldn't, we certainly did😁 better than most in town. All prices for food and drinks are very reasonable and the staff are really lovely and always available. Great atmosphere, great food and friendly staff. We wanted a sports bar showing the Liverpool game that wasn’t too rowdy and somewhere with a vegan option for me. The White Lion ticked all the boxes; plenty of comfy seating with great views (we were seated by the lovely waiter right in front of the TV).
