Pros: If you are looking for an “economy” hotel, this is a decent option for you. This hotel offers fair prices and it’s located right next to the sea. The pool area is also pleasant. The surroundings of the hotel are also pretty cool: there are loads of restaurants, cafes and bars next to it. The rooms are also clean.
Cons: For really nice beaches you’ll have to walk 15-30 minutes though. The area next to hotel can get super loud at night and there are lots of drunken people yelling around. The breakfast for 7€ is repetitive to be honest, so I’d recommend to eat somewhere else. Two ladies of the hotel team were really friendly to us but some other team members didn’t put much effort in making our stay more pleasant. I rather felt like they were annoyed by our questions, so I tried to avoid them. (No one has asked, if we’re feeling fine or if they can do something for us for instance…). During our first night, there were many loud people shouting inside and outside of the hotel, so the next day I asked the receptionist, if he could maybe offer a somewhat quieter room. He said it would be possible (for just one night) but then he never mentioned it again. Thankfully the situation calmed down for the rest of our stay. We also had an issue when we asked for proper blankets, when we rather felt like, we were just annoying the hotel crew. They couldn’t really explain that it’s because of a cultural difference, that they only provide super thin blankets (looking like a bed sheet). Last but not least, there were some extremely loud families with kids, so sometimes the pool area got super busy and annoying.
All in all, we had a good time in Crete and we thank the hotel team for the...

Read moreHi all,||I have stayed in a lot of hotels and this maybe one of the lovliest. The staff from elena to the whole crew including the cleaners, couldn't be just lovlier humans, work so hard and do a wonderful job, they care for how good a time the guests have which is why guests do. ||Always helpful, always available to support and act with warm. The hotel is not to big and small and lovley looking, the pool is warm and never to busy as only a certain amount of guests can stay. Me and my twin brother loved swimming in the pool and the breakfast is well done and options of fruit or smoothie or full brekkie you can pay for. The rooms are just spacious and lovley, with a kettle and fridge, with a table inside to, and we had a nice balcony to sit on. You can rent a car near by and book sailing trips across.||It felt almost like being at home. and thats a good sign. petra beach gets the full stars from me and i'd recommend to those who want a quiet safe stay...
