Husband and I had a lovely freshly made meze meal here on 18th Sept. Wasn't very busy initially and the lady server explained that she was on her own but she managed wonderfully. We looked at the menu and decided to have meze which very nearly was vegetarian from our choices. We ordered stuffed red peppers (beutiful)), the trilogy of dips served with soft/hard crusty bread which were aubergine, hummus and unusually spicy cream cheese with spring onions. We also had the feta parcel (fresh from the oven) and to finish the Village sausage with mustard sauce. For drinks my husband had a bottle of Fix beer (wasn't keen on it) and I had a half carafe of the house white wine which I couldn't finish. We both enjoyed it, everything was very fresh and tasty and we will go back another evening. To top it off the bill was only 33.50 euros for both of us. Very well enjoyed.... Returned on 29/09/23 for our anniversary meal and this time we were on the rooftop terrace (very romantic). Food was just as good as the first visit. Husband and I shared the wine this time and he enjoyed it. We overlooked the outside table area with live Cretan music (every Friday) and everything was just perfect. So sorry that my husband broke a carafe but they were so...

Suddenly, the waitress came up without saying a word, grabbed my bag, and placed it directly on my table next to the food. Then she took the chair away and moved it to another table, where other guests placed their bags. This felt extremely unprofessional and inappropriate.
Especially considering that only four tables in the whole place were occupied, and there were still plenty of those...
Read moreWhat an experience!! The hospitality was unlike I have ever experienced in any restaurant before - we were treated like true guests, even family! The food was delicious - the seafood so fresh and perfectly grilled, steamed mussels done to perfection, halloumi cheese perfectly grilled too. And, CHEAP. Drank delicious wine, had some shots/chasers of their home made alcohol (a type of aperitif). When ordering the bill, we were brought a fruit platter & dessert on the house.
We have 3 more nights in Crete, and we have decided that we will spend one of them at Zobra’s again.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for the most wonderful experience, delicious food, & all-round incredible...
