Vivaldi, Beethoven, Bach together in the Royal Albert Hall…
This title seems a bit odd for a restaurant-review. But it was the first thought which came up in my mind. Well, where do I start?
If the three Masters- mentioned in the title- would have given a concert together, it probably would have tasted like this. Pure, organic, balance, skilled, tasty, sparky and presented in a perfect atmosphere and ambiance.
This is why those who appreciate life don’t eat in their ‘all-inclusive’- hotel. This is the real deal. This is Crete in its pure essence. Honest ingredients in the most perfect balance you can imagine. The taste of every dish is just……superb. I wrote once about a ‘Angels Kitchen’ in Old Malia, but I now start to believe Old Malia is the Headquarters of all Cooking Angels. At least this restaurant is in the top three of my favorites. And certainly best value for money. And do take my advice: do not follow all mass reviews, many have been bought. This restaurant should be in at least in the top three of every self-respecting review platform regarding food-reviews. Ask the locals to get confirmation. For example: Ask your cab driver about this place: if they advise you to go else, step out and take another taxi. This person probably is doing his job illegal or entered Crete one week ago. All agree: this is simply one of the best (and cleanest) restaurants I’ve ever visited and definitely one of the best on this side of the Island.
You can’t ho wrong with your choice but some of the masterpieces are: The chefs mushrooms The aubergine from the oven The Chicken named by the restaurant The creamy Tagiatelle and even the non-Crete Indonisian (!) Rendang
Don’t forget the bread with the three cheeses, the homemade Tzatziki and a good wine advised by the hostess/ owner. I guarantee it, it will taste the same as the three Master of Classic Music would have sound if they could have join forces in one of the best music halls...
Read moreSo far I have been twice in two week's. The place as a whole is amazing, from the building wall's and everything inside of it. The staff are so friendly and look after you very well, it's almost like thay go out of their way to help. The menu has a good selection to chose from but not too much that it is overwhelming. Great selection of vegetarian food there too. Not only does the food come out well presented but has the taste to back it up. I had medium rare fillet the first time and I don't want you to drool too much, but it just melted as I ate it. I didn't have a sauce with it because it didn't need it, however I did try some of my wife to be's from her dish and wasn't disappointed. She had the chicken Nostimo, which is the dish I had second time around. On both occasions we had starter's and was happy with everything. I am up date this post because we have been bakc in 2018 and it was better than the first...

From the sharing meme for two (Only 15 euros) But dont let this decieve you ot is huge. We has eyes bigger than our bellies.
We tried to proceed with the sea bream and the cretean plate. The gyro was outstanding. The Bifteki burgers were so fresh and delicious what I thought would be too much food disappeared with haste.
The sea bream was beautifully cooked, glistening and tender.
The value for money here is incredible. For the price, the quality, the friendly and warm atmosphere, the funny and gracious hosts makes you feel like you're having a home cooked meal woth family.
This a must visit if you...
