Food was genuinely amazing! The grilled shrimps were so flavoursome and great value as well, massive in size and massive in flavour! We also got the red snapper which was off menu, but amazing! The waiter was so lovely from the beginning and took us into the kitchen and showed us all the amazing fresh fish on offer which wasn’t advertised on the menu! The grilled octopus was also fantastic, full of flavour and a great portion size, every dish we got we were able to share between 4 people! We’ve only put 4 for atmosphere because of one specific, very noisy table, which had nothing to do with the restaurant itself, just about 20 loud Americans who decided to play a very loud game in the middle of dinner service! Other than that, it’s a fab location, right on the waterfront, fantastic, attentive service, lovely friendly people! Full on 5/5 stars, definitely a must-visit, best...
Read moreWe stayed at Hotel Mike overnight and saw that the food reviews at the restaurant were outstanding, so thought we would give it a try. We booked a table in advance and they gave us a table near the edge of the water - the atmosphere was perfect with blue. And white table setting and blue chairs! The staff were highly attentive and super-friendly. Seafood was the popular recommendation so we ordered a variety of dishes - octopus (tender and super tasty), seabass, prawns, tomato and cheese mussels, fried anchovies (I am not a fan but my hubby loves them). What a feast we had! My favorites were the fresh seabass (5 star), prawns (4.5 stars) and mussels (4.5 stars). We were each treated to a free helping of scrumptious homemade baklava ( I almost licked the plate!). In summary, this restaurant is a must-visit if you are...
Read moreAppallingly bad. Great effort to get us to sit and it went downhill from there. A great deal of confusion over the menu from people that work with it every day was a concern.
And now to the greatest fallacy in Geek food. The starter, that was completely oversized and not to pleasant to eat arrived ten minutes after the decidedly average, cold, Mousaka. It’s 2025. That’s not quaint or uniquely Greek. Its shoddy and lazy and just shows a level of arrogant expectation that tourists are there as a cash pit. Deeply disappointed. The food was decidedly plain and uninspiring. And after the initial excitement of a new customer the service was not great.
The bolognaise sauce for one of the kids had so much cinnamon in it was not edible.
Overall a wasted experience and deeply...
