I had given a two-star review first without writing anything in my rating explaining my experience because I didn't have the time to type it in. I received the owners' complaint as to why I gave them such a low review especially since they've been closed for about 2 months now due to the virus. He also went on saying "we don't need people like you giving us FALSE reviews..." and emphasizing on their survival “...during these testing times...”. Well nobody really "needs" a low rating nor a bad review at any time gentlemen. But that's besides the point. My reviews are honest and solely based on my personal experience without any personal hidden agenda. After all I'm not in your business and I don't have a horse in this race. I was there last time this past September of 2020 and it wasn't my first time there either. It was my company's choice this time. As much as it wouldn't have been my pick I went with it and gave it another chance. And yet I didn't quite enjoy it this time either. Sorry, but I also wish it were a better experience. Now as far as my late review, like I said, it's my own experience just a few months back and I reserve the right my dear owners to express it and rate you accordingly whenever I get the chance. (On the other hand I have recently given great reviews after the lapse of 2 whole years of my personal experience to some other services). Who said that it's obligatory for a review to be current? Also, you stretching the point that due to the admittedly tough times for the restaurant industry nowadays, we the customers should refrain from giving you, or any other restaurant for that matter any unfavorable ratings. As if you're asking us for our merciful leniency and to hand out extra brownie points towards some businesses out of pity (?) That wouldn't be fair...
Read moreI used to like this place and would recomend it to my airbnb hosts. But not anymore. I went there this evening with 2 of my friends only to get insulted. The service was very unprofessional as their main concern is how to maximise their profit even if this affects customer satisfaction and needs. We ordered 3 beers, 2 starters and 3 main dishes and we sat on 2 tables outside, only to be told to use only one table as the restaurant might get full later in the evening. I explain to the waitress that the tables are small and that many tables were still available inside and outside (we first sit inside but decided to sit outside because even empty the indoor area smells smoke) and that i didn't felt confortable being squeezed in 1 table considering that we ordered so many dishes. She remain unflexible, telling me that this was the restaurant rules and we need to abid by the rules. I got upset and decided to cancel our order if i was to have only one table. She answered me that it was too late to cancel as they were already preparing the food (5 minutes only after we place the order). To make it short i told her to call the cops if she felt cheated, my friends pay for the beers that was served already to us and we left the place without drinking them; (personally considering the treatment i wouldn't had paid for the beers) Very upset with the whole situation, last time i ll be advising this...
Read moreSince it opened in 2003 I've been visiting this pub every time I come to Greece. Maybe that says enough but I can spend a few words on it to explain. First of all, this pub's interior is beautiful and you can tell it’s established by a couple from Ireland. Secondly the staff is always friendly and fast in serving you a good pint. They have a nice and divers selection on tap and the same holds for their whiskey and whisky selection. The food they serve is also delicious. Besides their burger and Fish & Chips you should also try their Rib-eye steak. It’s really good and one of the best I’ve been served in a pub or restaurant. Last but not least I like the vibe of this place. I’m not a big sports fan but it’s really nice to watch a game here just because of the nice atmosphere. Next time I am in Glyfada I will go back because this place feels like home...
