Unfortunately one of my most favorite spots for a margarita and a feeling of home has changed drastically since I last visited a few years ago. The hostess was ineffective, incompetent and actually pretty rude when you come down to it. I had to go and ask the servers to bus our table myself, after already having waited a good 15 minutes for the table we had asked for. The server himself was sweet, however he 'never sent' my margarita order through and so my cocktail finally came together with the main courses. I wouldn't have minded that much, however our server went MIA after we ordered so I finally flagged down someone else to check on it. The food and margarita were pretty decent themselves. Worth a 3 star rating. The food came quickly as well, at least when compared to the cocktail. No one came to ask if our food order was alright and at the end of our meal I asked for the food which was left to be put in a to go bag and they brought us a bag and 2 styrofoam boxes. I felt like I was at a Greek taverna back in the early 90s. Overall, everything felt disorganized and unprofessional, something you do not expect from a Friday's location in the heart of Glyfada that has been around for so many years. I will definitely not be returning any time soon and I say that with a heavy heart. Yet there are too many places that actually value their customers and go out of their way to make your experience pleasant and...
Read moreTypical run of the mill, all looks no substance. Every once of enthusiasm is beaten out of the cooks I'd assume to produce such low quality dishes besides the mozzarella sticks. At that point though I can't give much credit, if you can mess up some fried mozz that easy you shouldn't have a restaurant.
My experience ordering the philly burger was the only good part in the burger, meat was dry, cheese was greasy but not the good kind, it was the "I feel like there is high mileage engine oil mixed with sand" kind, and on the "philly" burger why put in a normal meat patty? The whole combo tasted like nothing and the combination of textures was a mess at best. Not to mention the supposed philly burger has a single piece of steak... Avoid it at all costs!
To follow up the previous burger since I'd prefer not to leave that place with such a displeasure as their "philly" cheese"steak" burger I ordered the Texan bbq burger... Second mistake although a lesser one.
Besides the supposed fried onions that were more akin to oil wells so much so the USA would would invade them in a heartbeat, the patty was flavourful and moist, the shredded beaf was decent and the rest as expected. Well done on being better than the worse philly burger I've ever tasted! If you want a well made and authentic philly cheese steak burger and in general top quality food, visit corks and...
