Vibo? More like the Vib(e was) O(ff)! Service feels nonexistent with 30 minutes of wait to receive a cup of coffee. Our server avoided eye contact and walked by us several times as we tried asking about our order.
After 30 minutes of finally getting served, the complementary sweets were not brought to our table. Curiously, the card payment post machine also wouldn’t work when we asked for the tab. Considering the way we were barely acknowledged as customers, this felt like we were being tricked into paying in cash. Think ordering a wine bottle for the table and a big lunch and having to carry €100+ in cash to pay or be forced a trip to a nearby ATM. It beats the whole purpose of hoping to have a relaxing Saturday afternoon with friends and family, not like this..
Our experience here unfortunately was not an isolated incident and seems to be a trend the last few times we visited. It’s a pity really and not sure if...
Read moreHands down the best restaurant around. Alki was an amazing person he made our experience Michelin worthy. We started off with the octopus which was tender and packed with all kinds of flavor. After that we followed up with a burrata salad which was refreshing. Then was the tuna tartar which was like eating the most amazing sushi you’ve ever had in every bite. For mains we ordered a ribeye and bronzini (lavraki) . Ribeye was probably the most amazing rib eyes I’ve had with the truffle mayo and baby potatoes. Lavraki was soft and packed with amazing notes of herbs and orzo was cooked perfectly. This place is definitely a do not skip if you’re in Athens. The place is cool looks like a wine bar but they have a full kitchen underground that pumps out food for about 80 seats which is quite amazing. I will definitely come back when I’m...
Read moreWe visited this café on a Saturday morning with my family, expecting a nice experience. However, it became clear that the staff prioritized holding tables for phone reservations rather than accommodating waiting customers. While we decided to wait, they seated people they obviously knew, despite telling us that the tables were reserved for brunch – only for those same people to end up having just coffee and tea.
The service from the reception was indifferent at best, and we weren’t the only ones noticing. Many other customers were expressing similar frustrations. If you’re looking for a café where reservations take priority over walk-ins and where knowing the staff gets you special treatment, this is the place for you. But if you prefer to enjoy a coffee in a welcoming atmosphere without attitude, you might want to...
