Sadly it was not able for us, to visit the rescue center. Because we have to leave, to get to the airport. We have as there at 13:00, they told us, that the Guide will come in 5 Minutes. But we was waiting there for more than 30 Minutes. Then we decided to ask for the guide btw. looking for the Guide.Than the Girl, that told us to wait 5 Minutes, appeared and told us really unfriendly that we can't look and it's forbidden. But she was the hole Time calling, even when we asked her for something she hadn't cancels the phone. I am really not sure, if she was doing her Job??? But whatever, it's not okay to not care for the Visitors and the being unpolite. I am sure the Place is beautiful and really interesting and we sad, we couldn't see it and I am sad the give only three Stars because of one unpolite...
Read moreIts good to know someone cares and this facility take care of the injured sea turtles of Greece.also abitt sad to see what humans are doing to this great animals. Its also nice thats its on the beach.and this area is home to sea turtles as well as the greek islands. I think some people think its aplace for them to touch or get close to sea turtles but its not .they are here for recovery and healta h. And noise is really bad for them .so tours are fast . Be thankful to see what you can .and if you ask for few minutes to linger near the tank im sure they will allow .as i was. I learned so much about turtles and their conservation and met so many amazing, hard working volunteers. After enjoying my time at the beach project so much I decided to volunteer at the Rescue centre in Athens which was equally as amazing! Very different projects to work on, but both do very important work either conserving the area and raising public awareness about these amazing animals, or working closely with the turtles rehabilitating and treating their injuries.
