Terrible experience at “I Treis Mouries” – Don’t even think about going!

Totally disappointed. The fish was spoiled and clearly frozen, with a disgusting smell that made me want to return it immediately. The fries were soaked in oil – absolutely greasy and inedible.

We also ordered fried shrimp, and it was below average at best – bland, soggy, and not worth the price.

The only decent person there was the woman in the kitchen – she was kind enough to take the fish back without asking questions.

But the man in charge of taking orders? Rude, arrogant, and completely unprofessional. When I told him the fish was awful, frozen, and impossible to chew, he had the nerve to reply: “We’ve been doing this for 101 years.” As if that excuses serving bad food.

To top it off, when we asked for the bill, we found an extra €2 added. When I questioned it, he casually said it was “for the chairs” – seriously?

Bottom line: the place is disgusting, the food is terrible, and they’re not even honest with the bill. Avoid this...

It was a cold, rainy day here on Crete. My wife and I had just come back to Heraklion from the south coast and a photo op. She wanted a fireplace and some traditional Crete food.
