We had high expectations of this kafeneio, because this what it is, but even then, the place was very overrated. The food was average at best—undercooked, tasteless, and lacked any real flavour, though the Gourounopoulo was good. Service was indifferent and extremely slow. We arrived at 8:00 PM and didn't get any food until 9:20 PM, which is unacceptable.

Amazing place in Kalamata, very popular with locals. Delicious food, we had stuffed courgette flowers to share, the pork in the oven and a fried cod as mains with green beans on the side. All food was delicious, couldn't get enough, such a fresh taste and cooked with care. The local bottled lager that they have is very tasty too! Staff was lovely and friendly, the terrace was filled with locals chatting the evening away, some live music was being played to set the mood. Traditional Greek restaurant situated near the historical centre of Kalamata. The food is excellent! I recommend you try the "gournopoula" (pork in the oven), which is a local traditional dish comprising of pork cooked over a slow fire, creating a delicious crust on the outside and deliciously soft meat on the inside.
