Have visited Panos on the first visit a couple of years ago, first impression was good, food too, grilled fish of day's catch was always cooked just perfectly, never dry, but not undercooked. Have visited tonight with the hope of good calamari and octopus, and had been highly disappointed - squid was just so so, overcooked, and the octopus was really poor quality, means very chewy, partly burned, salty - this is not how you prepare an octopus and in a place such Greece and Kalymnos in particular, I would really expect great seafood, Greeks are the experts afterall Donoughs - are a poor copy (heavy, greasy and made not with the right flour) of the donoughs served by Aegean tavern It was the last dinner on this trip, pity. And all for quite high price It is just unfair really. Panos team - you used to offer amazingly delicious and light cakes some years ago, best on the island.. However, the all staff and service is great, very genuine, best on kalymnos. It is a pity that food is not as...

Here you could order very good meat dishes (in our case a starter “spetsofai” which is a classic mezes made of sausage and paprika, not so typical of a fish restaurant) but also very good fish dishes (we ordered “tsipoura”). Bonus the pretty big portions compared to other restaurants in the vicinity. Almost like eating at a greek restaurant which is not in a touristic area. We were also treated with loukoumades, pretty good especially for a...
Read moreI had high hopes for this restaurant as I always see it is very busy at night. However, the food was unfortunately very disappointing. The Greek salad was not a Greek Salad like the other amazing ones I’ve had on the island - there was no dressing on it and there was a tiny amount of feta cheese. The main courses were also not of a high quality. The moussaka I had was okay but served with very greasy and unappetising chips. My partner had the pork souvlaki and it was inedible - really overcooked and dry!! I think perhaps the amount of freebies we got were to account for the bad food. Won’t be back and not sure why it’s so full in there. The staff were very pleasant. The chef, however,...
