La Kambusa — Restaurant in Municipality of Kalymnos

Well, we had a very bad experience with our pizza order. It was very soaking that the filling was sliding down from the dough when lifting a piece. We have asked to change for another one and two waitresses a male and a female started arguing with us trying to prove us wrong. After a good while of discussing who is right or wrong, we've got a chance to order a new one. So the atmosphere at the dining was ruined completely. Otherwise, before this incident happened, we had a good impression of the place. The other dish "chicken pasta" was ok. A bit dry. The dining area is not to big and tabels are quite close to each other so that you can easily hear what people around you are...

The atmosphere around the area of Mirties was lovely, all lit up at night and the water lapping on the shore. The view over to Telendos as the sun was setting was truly beautiful. So our seat in this restaurant over looking the water was lovely.

The food was lovely. I asked if they could do garlic bread, which wasn’t on the menu, which they did although it came with chilli on too so had quite some heat.

We ordered the ravioli and the penne vegetarian which was absolutely lovely and I couldn’t eat it all as it was very filling.

The food is excellent! We had a special appetizer Vitello Tonnato, one pasta and pizza off of the main menu, and a bottle of wine. Understanding of course that these are their own interpretations of classic pasta and pizza we were pleasantly surprised by the food, having just travelled to Italy, this lived up to our standards! The service was perfect, welcoming and attentive. And the environment was good, with plenty of seating on their main balcony that looks over the sea. Can’t wait to...
