Stalas Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Kalymnos

Today was the first and the last day my family will go to this restaurant. I have been multiple times with my girlfriend and her family and we got the best treatment. Today my mother came with my two nephews. And got the worst treatment, my nephew's went for a swim while my mother wanted to wait for them and have an orange juice. She waited for 20 minutes and had to get up and ask the lady for something to drink. Rudly they said what do you want. Without looking at a menu. Then as my mother was sitting in an empty restaurant at a round table the women very abruptly said you can't sit here. My mother said fine and when the kids would come she would gladly move to a different table. When it was time to order my mother waited very patiently due to the fact that she and my father were restaurant owners for 40 years understand how things go. She was the first to come and she was the last to be able to order meanwhile the entire restaurant was sitting and starring at my mother like she was an alien. At the end the food was great and my nephews enjoyed it very much. Every table had gotten watermelon at the end and the kids really wanted some after they paid my mother had to ask if they could have some. Poor treatment and my mother is such a good tipper but this will be the first time she did not tip. It was just mean stares poor service. The sad part is they knew she was my mother and who I was they even told my mother we know you you Vasilis mother. Shame shame shame. I also work at a restaurant called Prego even if I don't like a person for my personal reasons I'll still give 100 percent...

On my Top 5 list of places I would go back to, this is high. Myrthies, the view towards Telendos, the extremely friendly service, the good mood of the guests, the local area with all the friendly people you meet and greet - fantastic. When we were here in 2021, we were excited about the place - so that we chose to take a taxi from Pothia to Myrthies (€12) to eat at Stallas, it was a super good choice. We got grill mix for 2 - it's probably more for 3 but we struggled through most of it, because when it all tastes good, what should you leave behind? We got 2 times 0.5 kilos of wine, 1 Ouzo for the wife, grill mix for 2 for a total of €42.50. 5 out...

We ate here twice in a week. Great restaurant that feels underrated for the quality - I'm surprised it's not more popular/ packed!!!
