this is a small family business, but oh so nice. An uncle who greets you, the father makes the coctails or the ice cream, the mother and the daughter serve, and the brother helps with everything. this tent is very cheap. there is a choice (in summer only) from 250 types of coctails, and you can choose from 100 types of ice. The coctails are laid out in nice glasses. if you order ice cream, you will get a lot of ice cream, whipped cream, stars that are lit and a bottle of water. if you wait for your order, you will receive a bowl of chips and nuts. these are already supplemented when your dish is almost empty. Furthermore, the staff is also happy to chat with you, highly recommended this bar.

Een oom die je begroet, de vader maakt de coctails of het ijs, de moeder en de dochter serveren, en de broer helpt overal mee mee. dit tentje is zeer goedkoop. er is keuze (in de zomer alleen) uit 250 soorten coctails, en je kan kiezen uit 100 soorten ijs. De coctails worden in leuke glazen opgemaakt. als je ijs besteld, dan krijg je veel ijs, slagroom, sterretjes die aangestoken worden en een flesje water erbij. als je op je bestelling wacht, dan krijg je er een schaaltje chips en nootjes bij. deze worden al aangevuld als je schaaltje bijna leeg is. Verder maakt het personeel ook graag een praatje met je, echt een aanrader deze bar.

Pelagos restaurant was best food experiance we had on Kos. We tried several restaurants, but Pelagos surpassed all of them. The ambient is traditional greek, including setup, white-blue colour combination and music. The owner is a legend, he greets every single customer himself even if the place is packed! The waiters are really good at their job although they can sometimes get a bit lost with the drink orders. And the best for last! THE FOOD WAS DIVINE! We ate their home specialty with lamb chunks baked in a pot with sauce and covered with pasta dough, and the meat was perfectly seasoned and incredibly tender. Moussaka was a bit salty but still amazing. Lamb kleftiko was also amazingly prepared and seasoned. But the biggest surprise was cheese plate for 2 containing their local cheeses wich paired with their house wine to perfection. We also ordered few other "mezdes" which were also amazing. So I would suggest this restaurant to everyone visiting Kos island. It is true that you get everything in Kos town, but to really have an amazing food experiance, you should drive to Kardamena and visit...

One of the best restaurants in Kardamena, existing for over 11 years and run by two guys who know the business and food very well. Mike, one of the owners, loves to feed people good food. You can tell he is a foodie and gourmand, especially when it comes to details and good, natural flavours, as well as good wines. His best feature is his stories about food and his honesty. He kept making us taste very different things and each time it was a joy to our taste buds. His own jalapenos sauce cooked in fruits is not on the menu but it is the magical potion that makes anything taste divine. He makes you hungry with his special care and knowledge about food. Fish is not all fresh unless you call in advance and wish to pay a little, but it all tastes as good as fresh due to the best oils they use. The octopus you haven't tasted before the way they do it. Plenty of choices for vegatarians.
