You wouldn't believe the culinary delight I experienced at Chasapaki restaurant in Kos! It was a meat lover's paradise. First, I was impressed by their unique concept of choosing your own cut of meat in the butchers section. I opted for the 450-gram black Aberdeen Angus cut, and boy, was it a fantastic choice.
I requested it to be cooked medium, and they delivered it to perfection. The steak was succulent and flavorful, exactly as I liked it. But that's not all; it was accompanied by a heavenly sweet potato mash and fresh greens that added a delightful balance to the meal.
To wash down this feast, I tried the local beer, Mamos. It was an unfiltered lager bursting with flavour, and it paired beautifully with the steak. The best part? It was incredibly affordable, so I could enjoy it without worrying about my wallet.
If you are able to squeeze a little extra in, I would thoroughly recommend the Banoffi Twist. Light, zesty, and sweet. A fantastic pallette cleanser.
The atmosphere was welcoming, the service top-notch, and the prices were reasonable. I'm definitely adding Chasapaki to my list of must-visit places whenever I return to this beautiful island. Trust me; you won't want to miss out on this culinary...

Enjoying your holiday? Eating a lot of garlic bread, frozen deep-fried fries, mezes, mixed grill dishes, and looking for something familiar? Congratulations! You've finally found it!
Scrolling through the endless sea of 4.8+ rated restaurants on the island and deciding where to go can be hard, but this is what you've been looking for.
Book a table so you won't be disappointed, or try your luck. It's a butcher shop. Everything is fresh, for real. You point to the meat you want, say how much, and they cut and grill it to perfection (in my experience). The burger (BEST BURGER ON THE ISLAND) has the most amazing sear on the beef, paired with REAL rustic country fries.
And then, the bill... I ordered (I only had breakfast that day to save room—the portions are not small.) Sparkling water Beef nigiri Country fries ~220g ribeye steak Beef burger (~200g beef patty)
All of this for ~32€.
Excellent service. Excellent food. Excellent atmosphere. (Cute cats.) If I ever come to Kos again, I hope they are still operating.
P.S. They have their own smoker on the street where they smoke the bacon for the burger, pickle their own cucumbers, etc. Not a hard choice this...

The menu was broad with something for everyone. We selected our steaks, from the butchers counter - don't get much fresher than that! - chose our side orders, with sauce, gravy or mayonnaise to go with the steak.
Both our steaks were cooked perfectly, mine was a dry aged, grass fed and so full of flavour, my partner had a flat steak, similar to a fillet steak which was so tender. The side orders were freshly cooked and flavoursome too.
The wine recommended was perfect with the steaks and the dessert; Local cuisine, was similar to a very light custard on a string noodle like pastry, base, topped with cream and pistachio nuts.
We were so busy enjoying the food that we didn't take photos, and while they would certainly make your mouth water, I fear would not have done the food justice at all.
Several locals recommended this restaurant to us, and we did see locals repeatedly using this restaurant. Which in my opinion is always a good indication for wonderful food.
Highly recommend, the food, ambience and experience was well worth...
