Kalderimi Taverna — Restaurant in Municipality of Mytilene

After all these years, I gave another chance to have better memories of Kaldirimi. But, it is again a disappointment. Staff is seem like to forget to smile. They sit on their table, smoke cigarette and talk on the mobile. They seemed quite bored. So, service is so slow then usual Greek taverns. In Turkey we have an expression that is “lutfen yapiyorlar” . It is very unusual in Greece., Normally, when you order, one of the first thing comes is feta cheese. But, maybe French style it came at the end of my meal, after 1 hour! :))) When I asked the waitress why, the answer was “the kitchen forgot it” :) But, how about you? What a pity that such a wonderful location has been managing in an unappropriate way. The most important point is that they are not aware of this. Maybe they don’t care, I don’t know. We have eaten here quite a few times, both outside and inside. Food is reasonably priced and usually have a large mix of mezze type dishes, stagger order to ensure they are all not arriving at once. House wine drinkable.

Beware unfortunately the staff are so unfriendly, totally disinterested. When you arrive with big smiles and hello's...you are met with a scowling angry lady and a man who looks like he would rather be anywhere but there.

Running a restaurant is about good food, but to have 2 front of house employees who just sour an experience because both have such horrible attitudes. Get rid of them, employee staff who want to be there and reflect this in their interactions with customers and the restaurant...

the service was awful, at first nobody even took our order even if we called the waiters multiple times. (it took us more than 30 minutes to finally order) After ordering, the waiter didnt even put our cutlery; it was in the same box with the bread so we had to set the table ourselves. Moreover, one of our orders was forgotten so we had to wait until one of the waiters finally cared to notice(after 15 minutes of trying, i walked in and directly asked them to come to our table).
