Φούρνος Γιωργούλα — Restaurant in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

Have gone here two mornings in a row and definitely will go back! I asked for a iced latte and a local pastry to share with a friend on the first day (pictured below). The pastry was sweet, covered in nuts, and absolutely delicious. Today my friend got the bougatsa (he lived in Thessaloniki for 10 years and had this as a staple), and I got the brioche roll with chocolate. The bougatsa was nice, but not as creamy (the filling) and crispy (the pastry) as what we’ve had on the mainland. The brioche however was rich and gushing with chocolate (and I think Nutella). 5 stars are not enough to describe how good this bakery is. We have been here for 7 days, and every single morning we were excited to go to giorgoula. The peinirli with the eggs is SO GOOD. The Spanakopita, tsoureki with chocolate, and so many more, everything we have tried so far was AMAZING. It’s unbelievable to see only 4.5 stars if you ask me. They also have coffee, quite mid, but it’s a bakery and not a cafeteria. I guess if they had good coffee too they would close every other place 🤣 Good Job Giorgoulas Bakery, you...

We chose to have breakfast a few times during our stay in Koufonissi and also took some specialities to eat at the beach at lunch or during the afternoon.

Their receipts are very simple and I must say very good too.

What has to be absolutely improved is surely their service as the girls that are working in the place are absolutely not kind. As it is a very touristy place and as they work also thanks to the tourism, they should maybe improve their service.
