The Greeks are known for their baked goods, some Bakeries stand out far above the others. Considering Koufonisia is tiny, this place is a giant. The people that work there are consistently FRIENDLY. It's located just as your walk takes a left turn into the village so you cannot miss it. Just 600 ft from the beach. It's tiny so even though the selection is small the flavors are super tasty. Hosts a range of savoury and sweet pastries. You'll be disappointed you don't have time to get through them all. Always a friendly smile and happy to help with a recommendation. I give it a 5 for atmosphere not because there's a large space to sit and talk shop, but because frankly, sitting on the steps next to the locals sipping an iced Freddo espresso in the early morning sun as koufonisia slowly wakes, is an atmosphere everyone should experience...

This bakery was so good! We had a little bit of a few different things for dessert, and all were amazing. Usually here the bakery’s run out of pastries quickly, but here they must rest quickly because we came at night and they still had sandwiches, desserts and pastries. All so good.
