Niriides Boutique Apartments — Hotel in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

The photos were not the same as the ones we we were shown when booking the place. The balcony was different from what was in the picture, less comfy. The host, who does respond the phone was not there, we had different incidents and had to call all the time because there was nobody. We did not find the car which was supposed to pick us up, they have never try to call us to find out, and once we got to the place, the staff told us they would call us when the room was ready, what they never did. When we came back for the keys there was nobody at the reception. We had to call again, what was annoying. The person who came did not really care about anything (it was not the couple who was in charge of the place at that time), the person offered no help with the luggage, not very friendly. And in the morning there was no water. The place is way tooooo expensive (even for an expensive island). And it does feel bad that its sort of announced as a place run by a host, but then it was less personal than any hotel we stayed at in years.||||After leaving a comment on another site, the owner answers saying that my comments were not true and that we did not respond the mails and tries to explain everything with the Covid-Situation 2020. Believe me, we were travel a lot this summer 2020 - despite Covid and all the respect and difficulties we do understand the hotel have - and no place tried to use it as an excuse for not being up to the standard. It is really sad that the owner, after not even being there, needs to lie. I do not doubt that we were very unlucky, but I am not lying about our experience there. Sono ritornata al Niirides per la seconda volta e purtroppo dopo questa settimana devo dire che non ci tornerei. Gli aspetti positivi della struttura è che si trova a pochi passi dal centro e dal supermarket restando comunque abbastanza decentrato e fuori dal chaos. Purtroppo però quest’anno hanno aperto un locale dove cantano e fanno musica fino a tarda notte, quindi se tenete le finestre aperte sentirete comunque il frastuono. Le camere dispongono comunque di aria condizionata, materassi ormai sfondati e piuttosto scomodi. Buona la pulizia delle camere che risultano abbastanza spaziose. Peccato per i bagni datati, soprattutto la doccia da cui la maggior parte delle sere non arrivava acqua calda a sufficienza e ho finito per lavarmi con acqua fredda. Anche il phon é veramente pessimo (simile a quello delle piscine degli anni ottanta) consiglio di portare un asciugacapelli da casa.

Quello che davvero non ho apprezzato tuttavia è stato il comportamento dei gestori. Ho prenotato ad inizio anno chiedendo di avere una camera uguale a quella in cui avevo pernottato la scorsa volta, purtroppo al mio arrivo ho scoperto invece che mi avevano assegnato l’UNICA camera senza terrazzo ma con un minuscolo balcone su cui era impossibile muoversi (la numero 9 da EVITARE ASSOLUTAMENTE). Quando ho chiesto ai proprietari di cambiare camera sottolineando che ci eravamo sentiti via mail e avevo espressamente richiesto una camera dello stesso tipo, mi sono sentita dire più volte che le camere sono dello stesso tipo (perché arredate in modo uguale) e che comunque avrebbero controllato le mail. A quel punto sono spariti e non hanno fatto nulla per cercare di cambiarci camera. Mi sarei aspettata, come minimo, un cenno di riscontro da parte dei gestori che invece hanno preferito far finta di niente. Non credo che sia questo il comportamento da riservare a degli ospiti che scelgono di ritornare. Ci tengo anche a precisare che quest’anno abbiamo consigliato la struttura a due nostri amici con un bambino a cui, invece, è stata assegnata la camera affianco alla reception e di maggior passaggio. Anche nella loro camera alla sera non arrivava acqua calda. Ultima cosa.. nel 2024 sono probabilmente l’unica struttura a richiedere ancora un pagamento integrale in contanti e specificare che non accettano carte di credito o...

We strongly recommend this accommodation in Koufonisi! Clean and beautiful apartment, with good WiFi, fridge, shower amenities and a beautiful patio to read or have some drinks. Very convenient and centrally located, it was perfect for us. Very nice staff, they drove us from and to the harbour, even though it's really near on foot we really appreciated it due to our heavy bags. As a recommendation we would include a quick line in their welcome email to indicate that in Koufonisi, unless other islands, prepaid ferry tickets need to be collected not directly in the harbour pier but in the village office instead.
