Sto Ladoxarto — Restaurant in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

Just off the beaten tourist path lies Sto Ladoxarto. We were drawn to this place because the prices were great when compared to most of the surrounding restaurants and they labeled themselves as meat professionals. It also wasn't as busy as some of the other main restaurants. Excellent views of the waterfront and of the Naxos harbour, especially at sunset (make sure to get there just before sunset to avoid the crowds).

We started with a traditional Saganaki. Salty, citrusy, and delicious. I ordered veal portions while my wife had rotisserie chicken skewers. Food was absolutely amazing. Service could have been a little more attentive but overall we had an excellent experience here and would certainly...

We did not like this place at all. Firstly, the waiter was not very nice. Second, you are not allowed to smoke inside and there was a customer smoking inside making the whole place smell like cigarettes (it’s not summer so all windows are closed). Smelled awful and when I told the waiter he didn’t bother telling the lady, just went about doing his thing. she continued to smoke and stink up the place. Took forever to bring out our second dish because he forgot about it too.

All in all, would not recommend going here unless you’re a typical tourist who wants to be in these tacky places to take pictures of the shore. You’re better off going next door to boutamatsis which has excellent food and...

This restaurant, which has had the gold award for food quality for 5 years, really exceeded my expectations! It all begins with a kind welcome and an excellent first impression of the place: the numerous tables overlook the seafront and the wonderful maritime panorama. Now on to serious things: food. You will soon be greeted with local bread baked at the perfect time to contemplate the menu. There is a wide choice of both local and classic meats. The menu also offers recommended dishes and many drinks. At the end of the service we also received a tasty lemon ice cream dessert. Very welcoming homely location, very good, fast and helpful staff!
