Casiopia Greek Taverna — Restaurant in Municipality of Northern Corfu

We truly loved the food here at Casiopia! We ordered the sea bass fillet and the Casiopia salad — both were bursting with flavour and absolutely delicious. The fish was perfectly grilled — buttery, yet with a slight bite to it. The chips were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, perfectly seasoned and paired wonderfully with the aioli on the side. I wasn’t a huge fan of the cabbage side salad, but its acidity complemented the fish nicely. The Casiopia salad was essentially a seafood salad featuring prawns, calamari, salmon, and tuna. The lettuce was crisp, and the dressing worked beautifully with all the components. One small point of improvement: the tuna was from a can and a bit dry, which slightly detracted from the freshness and tenderness of the other seafood. That said, it was still an excellent salad overall. Another aspect that could be improved is the service. While we were served promptly and the food arrived quickly, our waitress didn’t seem particularly enthusiastic and could have been a bit friendlier. The service was strange!! The staff seemed busy and distracted when serving you, they constantly looked away when they were at your table and seemed to be in a huge rush, despite the evening slowing down later in the evening. The boys were sweating and it was kind of gross when they are serving your food. I know its summer, but wipe your sweat mate.

Regarding the food- My fish was really nice, however it was served with some shrivelled old spinach which made me sick to look at, let alone try 🤢 - yuckk. The mashed potatoes were OK - it was literally a spoon full, I almost missed it on the plate.

My partners Fisherman's Linguine wasn't that appetising either, the seafood was overdone and prawns tasted like plastic. He wasnt thrilled.

The orange cake at the end was delicious - it was on the house.

All in all, OK, nothing to rave home...

Incredible restaurant. We liked it so much we came here twice for dinner during our stay in Kassiopi! Beautiful place with a nice view to the harbour. The staff was very attentive and the food was exceptional. On the first night we had the seafood plate for 2 - it was a huge amount of food and everything was delicious! They also gave us a couple glasses of limoncello afterwards which was a lovely detail. On the 2nd night my partner had the seafood pasta which was also nice but the lamb fillet with goat cheese was hands down the best dish! All the portions are extremely abundant as well. It is a bit more pricey than other restaurants in the area but its worth it. I definitely recommend it and we will come here when we return...
