Katoi Bistrot Wine Bar — Restaurant in Municipality of Northern Corfu

How anybody can write this restaurant anything to no one is beyond me. We had breakfast here and it was simply horrible. I’ve been traveling through Greece for three years now, each summer, and this is by far the least Greek restaurant I’ve ever have eaten in And that includes the rest of the world We ordered the Greek breakfast, which came with horrible, tasting pre-scrambled eggs in a casserole that was questionable. If what was in it was actually eggs. Take a look at the image I’ve attached. The toast we’re basically cardboard, white bread, and the yogurt with walnuts was less than 1/4 of an ice cream scoop with literally less than equivalent of one walnut on it. The caffe latte was water with taste of coffee. It’s on the waterfront on the harbor and has a decent view of Albania. However, I strongly discourage you from living here you will be disappointed unless you like pure tourist food catering to non-Greeks. Stopped here for a drink whilst exploring Kassiopi as it seemed the most welcoming for us, as against a proper pub or restaurant setting. Great views over the harbour and across to Albania. Nice, chilled, relaxed vibes with soft music to match. Appeals to tourists and locals alike. The staff really couldn't have been better. They truly were attentive, extremely helpful and natural with our young children. We asked for directions to the Fortress/Castle and were assisted with this, even advising us that the route was narrow and difficult for a buggy, so they offered to store our buggy whilst we went exploring. Truly fantastic staff. Food and cocktails looked great and very well presented with food being reasonably priced. However... The staff need applauding above all...

I left Katoi Bistro with mixed feelings. The food was good in terms of taste—solid and decent—but nothing particularly memorable or exciting. Unfortunately, it arrived only lukewarm, which detracted a bit from the overall experience.

There was also a mix-up with the order at first. The wrong dish was brought out, though the staff corrected it quickly and politely. While the service was friendly and courteous, it wasn’t especially attentive or remarkable.

The atmosphere of the place was okay, but it lacked a certain warmth or uniqueness that would make me want to return.

Overall, it was an average experience—not bad, but nothing that stood out either. If you’re nearby, it’s a decent option for a meal, but I personally wouldn’t go out of my way...
