Tavernaki, traditional taverna — Restaurant in Municipality of Northern Corfu

We had a very bad experience in this location and I do not recommend it. We made dinner reservations for four people, we were celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary and hoping for a nice evening. We called the location for the reservations at 6 and they told us to come at 21:00. At 20:55 we were there and they told us to wait 5 minutes for our table. No problem. After 10 minutes we were still waiting and asked if it will take any longer. The waiter showed us a table of 4 that was being prepared. After another 5 minutes, a party of 4-5 people that just came were seated at our table. Confronting the waiter about this, he told us that "their reservations were made in time". I don't know what that means, when we called, they told us to come at 21:00, it was the hour that was good for them, not necessarily for us. The staff was not willing to help and treated us badly, so we ended up leaving. Greece and the Greek people are too beautiful and nice, don't waste your time with these kinds of locations. Without a doubt, the best restaurant in Kassiopi! We had such a pleasant experience here, we even ate here multiple times during our vacation. The food is amazing; it's fresh, the menu isn't too extensive, and you'll want to try everything. It ranges from delicious pastas and various meat dishes to, of course, tasty fish dishes.

And that's certainly not the only thing that makes the restaurant so good; the service is great. The waiters are friendly, quick to respond, pleasant and interested in their customers. That's also a big reason why we wanted to come back.

Also the location and atmosphere of the restaurant are strong points. You have a fantastic view of the water, a nice breeze, and a view while you eat. For me, the best restaurant in Kassiopi. We ate here twice and were never disappointed. The food is tasty (the pastistada and the tavernaki prawns were amazing!) and you get very good portion sizes, they also boxed up what I couldn't manage to eat to take to our apartment. The service is super friendly, not too quick and not too slow either. The location is good, next to the harbour for a nice view. The prices are fair and the wine choices are good. The only thing I'd recommend for them is to put at least 2 vegetarian main course dishes so people don't have to ask for a veggie starter for their main.
