Trattoria Katoi Fresh Food — Restaurant in Municipality of Northern Corfu

We were lucky enough to discover this gem on our very first day in Agios Georgios Pagon, so we went there for 90% of our meals (lunch and dinner). Not because we're lazy - they just have delicious food! We tried quite a few of the dishes in their menu, some of them more than once. I just wish we stayed more, so that we could taste everything :D

You really know you're in the right place when the chicken in the souvlaki melts in your mouth, the vegetables taste as they should (not plastic, like in many other places), the orange fresh is made on the spot using actual oranges, the fries taste like potatoes that have never been frozen, and the list could go on.

It was also one of the very few places where I actually saw Covid measures taken seriously - staff wore masks (properly) all the time and used disposable table cloths, disinfectant bottles were on every table. Oh, and I should also mention that the bathroom was spotless and smelled better than many hotel rooms :D

The service was reasonably fast (given the fact that most of the tables were occupied, especially in the evening). The staff were kind, attentive and polite (a special thank you goes to the cheerful Jenny!). Nice, lively atmosphere, people enjoying themselves and the good food. I really wish I had a place like this where I live, I would totally become a regular :)

O.M.G. Where to start ? 1st servers/service 5☆, i ordered the sea food platter for 1. It arrived & it was so big the server needed 2hands to carry it !!! Ok here goes.. Mussels over 30 !!! Cooked to petfection, Octopus 2 of the largest/longest tentecles i've ever seen & melt in the mouth texture 5☆ The so called Shrimps !!! 4inches long & thumb thick !!! Cleaned & peeled Sorry to repeat myself but O.M.G. 5☆, Next lets discuss the Squid... 5 helpings of wonderfully cooked tentecle' & a Tube 6/7 inches long and once again melt in the mouth... Please if your ever here Agios Georgios YOU MUST VISIT THIS PLACE..... can't express just how great my meal wad let alone my Partner who opted for a helping of Mussels in white wine/garlic sauce.... Again we thought it was a 2/3 person sharing platter sooooo huge !!!! Every single 1 cooked to perfection... BRAVO to the Chef 5☆ is not enough to descibe this place. THANKYOU SO MUCH.... YOUR THE BEST EVER 50☆ Ate here again tonight, the fillet steak.... omg out of this world... again... words simply fail me......

Incredible. The food came very fast. We ordered Pork fillet, which came with freshly cut french fries and a mix of grilled vegetables (eggplant, peppers, zucchini). The meat was succulent and delicious. We also tried Kumquat Chicken, which was also incredible, the meat was cut thick but really succulent, and the sauce in which it comes was sweet but with a very rich flavor (it also contained basil and some other condiments I could not identify). We also tried Vera Italiana Pizza, the big size (it was very big, for 2 people at least), and it was delicious, you can feel the quality ingredients they used. The staff was very friendly, since we asked to change tables and they were very accommodating. The person taking the order was always telling people “thank you for your patience”, even if they came relatively fast. Very professional.
