My Pyxida — Restaurant in Municipality of Northern Corfu

This is my 2nd time visiting Pixida, the first was for the wedding feast of my Sister to her husband which was a set meal and very very tasty.

Today I had the Bruscetta (a mortadella, a roasted aubergine, a tomato and a melted cheese (all shared)) and my main was the chicken thighs stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped in Parma. This was served with shitake mushrooms, grilled courgettes, grilled aubergine and a creamy mash with a mustard gravy.

The Bruscetta was tasty with garlic, oil and the toppings. The main was very flavourful. The chicken was extremely succulent and tasted excellent with the vegetables.

I had a half carafe of local medium rosé, which some people would think was red but was delicious. I finished with Tiramisu which was light and creamy but I thought it lacked coffee and alcohol but that said, it was still a great dessert. I also show here a chocolate brownie dessert (not sampled).

Really nice place that I would definitely visit again if I have the opportunity. Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. I tried their pasta with shrimps, pancetta and courgettes and asked if it is possible to switch the penne with linguine and the woman said it’s not a problem which was very nice. The pasta itself was nicely salted and cooked al dente. We also ordered a salad with buratta which was also really good. The best surprise was the wine. We decided to get half a liter of white wine and they asked us if we wanted it dry or medium. The woman explained that medium meant that the wine would be more sweet so we decided to get the medium one and it was the best. Sadly they said it was homemade so it was nowhere to be found except in the restaurant. Definitely worth a visit if you happen to stay in Roda ! We came here for the second time tonight because we were so impressed with the food. My husband is a local and loved it. Everything from the pizza, to the pasta to the salads are amazing. Even my kids who never eat out wanted to come back here. The staff are very friendly and treated our kids to ice cream both times. This is their first year open and I highly recommend tourists and locals to eat here.
