We ate pork, chicken, souvlaki and gyros pita here a couple of times.
Even though the taste of the food was relatively fair we were once again disappointed by the attitude and mindset of the people responsible for the service.
People, the fact that tourists do not have experience and do not expect your ridiculous behavior doesn't make you clever. You have to honor your profession, and at least show the minimum respect towards the incredible gift of the beauty of the nature that makes it possible for you to make a living on this island with the money of those tourists that you attempt to humiliate. How childish and naive...
Just as an example, one of the many on Paxoi unfortunately: We ordered draught beer. We asked what options where available, on the menu was Alpha, Mythos, Heineken, Amstel on offer (by the glass). We ask the waiter, he says yes we have all those draughts. We order a glass of Heineken and a glass of Mythos. I observe the waiter. He goes to the one and only draught beer tap with a label of Alpha which was just a few meters away from us, poors beer in a glass with the logo of Heineken on it and from the same tap in another glass with the logo of Mythos. Then says something to the waitress, they both laugh and comes to our table with a Heineken glass and a Mythos glass. When I asked about the magic of taking different beer labels out of a single tap he said shamelessly... "No no, the beer is always Alpha. The glass makes the difference." Disgusting. And this was not the only example of such behavior in the...
Read moreWe have visited the place on the 23/07/23 together with my partner. We had to wait too long to get a table as the place was busy, which is totally fine. BUT..the worst part was that we had to wait longer than usual as there were just the 2 of us and the waiters were giving priority to groups of 3 or 4 people. Totally UNACCEPTABLE. When I confronted the waiter he said that these were the instructions given from their BOSS and he couldn't do anything about it (I assume the boss has never heard of the term "greek hospitality" or does he just count us as euros??). Well, one thing is certain, that we won't visit the place again. By the way, the food was not tasty at all and their tzatziki should not even been served! It looked like it was diluted with milk....ughhh There are other places where you can enjoy guros at the center of Gaios. It was our 5th time on the island and regarding the quality and flavour of the food please trust me as I am a...
Read moreThere are plenty of good places to eat in Gaios, this is not one of them. I would avoid this place by any means. I had chosen the souvlaki lamb and it was terrible, no taste and very dry, old. And we paid 19 euros for that imitation of food. My friends took the gyros and mousaka, a bit better at taste. When we told the waiter that the lamb was not good he got upsaid or something and didn’t even came to our table anymore sending his waiter colleagues instead. Not professional at all, he did not care basically and given his attitude I would not expect any improvements in the future. The terrace is full anyway but it’ s a tourist trap. We paid 120 euros for 4 people for some appetizers, 1 gyros, 1 Philadelphia kebap, 1 mousaka and 1 souvlaki lamb. George should take some lamb cooking lessons from their neighbor Dal Pescatore if he asks for 19 euros for...
