My recent visit to Bacaro Restaurant, located adjacent to the Port Square Hotel in Piraeus, Greece, was an unforgettable culinary experience. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast here, but it was the dinner that truly stood out.
The service was exceptionally friendly, making us feel welcomed and well taken care of from the moment we walked in. The food was incredible—everything is made in-house, and you can genuinely taste the difference. The shrimps wrapped in thin potato skin were an absolute delight, bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. The lamb shank was equally impressive, tender, and rich in taste.
The interior of the restaurant is beautifully designed, with a special touch given to the open kitchen concept. Watching the chefs at work adds a dynamic and engaging element to the dining experience. The fully stocked bar offers a variety of interesting drinks, perfectly complementing the meal.
Bacaro Restaurant exceeded all our expectations, and we will definitely be coming back. It’s a must-visit for anyone in the area looking for a memorable...
Read moreWe visited Bacaro as part of a complimentary meal offered by the hotel next door after an issue during our stay. Sadly, the experience at the restaurant was disappointing from start to finish.
At first, the staff were polite, but their attitude completely changed once they realised we weren’t paying. From that point on, it became difficult to even get their attention. Service was slow and dismissive, and we were made to feel like an inconvenience.
We asked to have some of our food packed and said we’d like to order dessert. Instead of helping, a staff member returned and tossed the takeaway bag onto our table without a word. When we followed up about dessert, they told us we now had to go inside and order it ourselves.
To make matters worse, the food itself was bland and forgettable. Overall, it felt like once they knew we weren’t paying, they stopped caring altogether. Definitely not a place I would return to...
Read moreI came here because the reviews were great and it was attached to my hotel. I had bread with olive oil and olive paste, which was great. Then I had shrimp risotto (made with frozen shrimp, but advertised that way). It was very good, and both items came quickly. I came alone. I finished, and the meal was taken away. I waited and waited and waited. I was right by the waiter station. My waitress never came by to give me the bill or ask if I wanted dessert or coffee. She never once looked over to check in. I must have waited over 40 minutes. 4-5 of her other tables got and paid their bills (they all were couples.) Finally I had to ask for mine. I think she was either engaging in solo discrimination or just completely forgot about me even though I was literally 3 feet from her. I won't...
