Subject: A Kafkaesque Experience at Attiko Bakery: The Restroom Odyssey
Dear Proprietors of Attiko Bakery,
I hope this message finds you swimming in a sea of croissants and artisanal coffee, far removed from the mundane concerns of your patrons. It is with a heavy heart, yet an unburdened bladder, that I pen this epistle of dissatisfaction.
On a day that will live in infamy in the annals of my personal history, I, a humble patron who had exchanged currency for goods within the hallowed walls of your establishment, found myself ensnared in a situation most kafkaesque. Upon completing my transaction, which, I must add, did not include the audacity of a sit-down meal but merely the humble acquisition of a beverage, I sought to avail myself of your restroom facilities. Imagine my chagrin when I was informed, in no uncertain terms, that the privilege of relieving oneself was reserved for those partaking in a culinary experience rather than a mere caffeinated indulgence.
I must pause here to reflect on the philosophical underpinnings of such a policy. Is it the case that the consumption of a croissant, in its flaky complexity, imbues the patron with a higher form of existence, thereby granting them exclusive access to certain amenities? Does the act of sitting, as opposed to standing or perambulating, elevate one's status in the eyes of the bakery gods? These are questions that, I fear, will haunt me for many a sleepless night.
In an era where inclusivity and accessibility are the watchwords of every respectable establishment, your policy appears to be an anachronistic relic, a throwback to a darker age when the division between "the seated" and "the standing" was as insurmountable as the walls of Jericho. It is, if I may borrow the term, restroom elitism in its most unvarnished form.
In closing, I urge you to reconsider your stance on this matter. Let the winds of change blow through the corridors of Attiko Bakery, ushering in a new era where all patrons, regardless of their consumption habits, can heed the call of nature without fear of discrimination. Only then can we truly say that justice has been served, alongside your undoubtedly exquisite pastries.
Yours in both consternation and anticipation of a more...

we went there as a family of 5 people early in the morning like 5 am. Place have two common floors one is the enterance and the other is the first floor where you can sit. Since we have luggages we want to sit at first floor but they said that they will open the first floor at 6 am. So we waited but at the same time we ate our breakfast with coffee and more. At 6 am thay said they are going to open it at 7 am. So we waited again in the street because there is no alternative...at 7 they opened but not allowed us to enter with our luggages...so rude !!
They know that the reason why we waited for hours is because our luggages.... we left our luggages under the stairs without any security... but then they said that we have to buy something if we want to sit ...the thing is we have already spent 40 euros!!! ..anyway we bought more coffee just to sit one hour...but they shut all the windows do not open air conditioner continuously check us ... and most rude thing that they did is our child was so sick and he just put his head to the table even though he is not sleeping and they knew that...they said that we cannot sleep but we are NOT!! When we are trying to explain they said they do not...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible - I repeat: terrible (!) customer service at this bakery in Piraeus. Maybe the most unfriendly, hostile cashiers I've ever encountered. I usually don't do bad reviews, but this one feels like it has to be put out there. Otherwise, things don't change. We had brunch there a few days ago and the workers were rude. A few days later, because we had to get to a ferry nearby, we went there again, and when having to go to the bathroom, asked for the code (as it has a lock), they flat-out lied to us, saying "the toilet is not working", we went upstairs & asked a customer eating her meal for the code, which she kindly gave us. The lady from the counter has serious issues - she followed us upstairs & I had entered the code to the bathroom and opened the door - the toilet was open and working. She scolded us for using the bathroom and I asked her why she was lying to us. She simply cursed in Greek and I closed the door before her. She even told a colleague & while I was inside, she told my wife that the water doesn't work - next lie. Everything worked, she just wanted to mess with us, the customers - probably because we didn't buy as much as she wished. Super-pathetic behavior from her - my wife was outside the bathroom and the woman continued to curse in Greek. I know this sounds harsh, but really, she should be fired immediately.
If it was possible, I'd...
