Food was nice, certainly above average. If it were only for the food, I would rate it with 4 stars, given that the prices are rather high if you order a steak or lamb ribs, as we did. But service was below average. The staff was polite, BUT as my foreign friend accurately remarked, if you asked for something for which you don't need to pay, chances to get it are zero. I explain: I asked for napkins, three times. There was none on the table. The reaction was "sure, just a moment (αμέσως)", but the napkins didn't come. The second time I remarked to a waiter that we should have napkins, salt, pepper, oil and vinegar, as I could see on other tables. Same reaction, same zero result. Actually the napkins and the salt were on a stand just 3 meters away; bringing them would be a matter of a few seconds. The third time I was angry, and finally the napkins arrived. As for the salt, I suppose that we will have to wait for another time. My friend asked for mayonnaise; another guy said to him that they had instead a sauce with mayonnaise and mustard, that he was going to bring. It never came, as was sadly expected. The number of waiters was more than enough. It was peak time and often they were standing. Note that a waiter, before we order, had proposed to us some dishes that were close to 30 Euros each. So don't follow his advice, unless you are ready to pay a hefty sum for your meal. Recommended? Yes, but know what to expect from the service, and act...
Read moreLate at night we came upon a well lit restaurant called Barbadimos or ΜΠΑΡΜΠΑΔΗΜΟΣ. We were greeted by a larger-than-life, very Greek and effusive fellow named Lazarus, who made sure we would try the best of Greek cuisine.
We started with wine from Kalamata. The plates came quickly and were ample. The kabob meats were tender and delicious, came with pita, potatoes and salad, and the four of us were soon stuffed by a platter for two! (€28!)
Lazarus made us have dessert, which was very good and also ample, and brought us Ouzo, with cards reminding us to give him personally a like on TripAdvisor. He seemed to genuinely appreciate our warm thanks. We staggered back to our BnB at 1 am and crashed. This place was everything we could have wanted for our first night in Greece! Highly recommend, and say...
Read moreI love ( ΜΠΑΡΜΠΑΔΗΜΟΣ (ΠΕΙΡΑΙΑΣ) ) this Restaurant and I personally more than satisfied with their food and their kind services. They really knows how to make super delicious food ever. We are frequent travelers in EU and we are from Estonia. I gladly and proudly would like to say their service and the food are extraordinary that we could not find still so far any place at all.
They have super delicious Greek Salad, Baklava with and without Ice-cream, Their home made mind blowing wine, Falafal salad and grilled meat are just AWESOME than what we every day eat in Estonia.
I highly recommend this place for Dine-in to enjoy their food with super DELISIOUS wine.
