KITSCHEN Dim Sum Bar — Restaurant in Municipality of Piraeus

The food here is absolutely fantastic – truly a masterpiece. I had sushi, kimchi and some kind of rice with egg and every single bite was just amazing. The sushi was fresh and perfectly prepared, the kimchi had the right level of spice and even the rice with egg, which sounds simple, was full of flavour. This place knows what they are doing when it comes to food.

The restaurant itself is small but really nicely set up. It has a warm and cosy interior where you feel like sitting down and enjoying your meal. Definitely not just a takeaway spot.

Now the only reason I am not giving five stars is because of how I was welcomed. I was told by a man, not a waiter but someone who seemed to be in charge, that I had to sit outside if I wanted to eat. I explained that it was extremely windy and literally no one was sitting outside. There were plenty of free seats inside but he insisted that if I wanted to stay I could only sit right by the door. So I did just that and had my meal in a bit of a draft.

Been there twice, it's the definition of "pricey, but worth every penny". Last time, we paid 27.5€/person (we had a beer each, no cocktails), but we were full, and I can't stress how delicious everything was. The first time we had also tried a couple of cocktails (also great). Generally, while I understand why it's a little expensive, I still maintain that it could be a little cheaper so that more people could have access to their amazing dishes. Truly amazing place. The atmosphere is pure gold - not only inside, but also on the little benches outside. The food is prepared with lots of love and the attention to detail is next to none (especially and as well in the design of the place). The menu is compact, which imho speaks for the quality of the food. The owners are the key to this result and as their wall imprints correctly state - this is not the result of pure luck.
