CΟΗΕΝ — Restaurant in Municipality of Piraeus

I am visiting Greece for the first time for vacation, we came to this restaurant/bar yesterday around 4 in the evening and this place was just a disappointment. The man at the bar was rude to us from the get go. We sat in a four seater table and he right away told us that is for four people (there is two of us) and to sit somewhere else yet there was two other couples right in front of us both sitting in a four seater table. He then asked if we’re there for food or drinks. We said food and he said they don’t have any food, so we left. But as we walked out we saw others with food on their tables. Just that short interaction made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcomed. To me it seemed like he didn’t like tourists. The place has a second story and this was upstairs. When we walked down that’s when we saw the people with food on their tables. If they only served food downstairs he should have said that but he didn’t, prompting me to believe he didn’t want us there. This is a kind of bar restaurant. The food side is not their strongest. Although what I decided on, from the rather dull menue was OK, it took about an hour for it to arrive. The excuse being; there was another order before ours. Couldn't help getting the impression that the delay was deliberate so that you would go for more drinks... Prices are on the high side. They don't have 0.5 lt beer. Only 0.3 and costs 2 times of what 0.5 costs in all normal restaurants. Further more, imagine smoking being allowed in a totally closed place in winter... The location ofcourse is very good, right on the sea front. The place is named after Leonard Cohen but the only thing that associates with him is his portrait x 2 on the wall of the entrance and some quotes from his songs. Even the music is not Cohen's but cheap music and was so loud.... . All in all, more like a place to go to for making impressions, like on a date or something...

Visited twice during our stay in Piraeus. The view of the sea is gorgeous. The decor is lovely.Really clean place and well looked after. We ordered food and drinks/cocktails.
