Mama's Food — Restaurant in Municipality of Platanias

Been to soo many restaurants on this beautiful island As a google reviewer, Got a bike n toured the whole place Tried a few restaurants recommended by our aunty n uncle thag have lived here for over 10 years but nothing compares to this place. Dina.. the waitress thats personality is a beautiful as she is.. Danced with us at the tableside.. Picked flowers to put in my mrs hair. So attentive... She looked after us to the degree that when we came here cold one night she gave my mrs a blanket to keep her warm n said we could take it back home n bring it next time we pass. Also recommended the steak and cooked it to perfection... always had a shot with us before we left.. Angelos or angel if u prefer the english version... Such a helpful waiter.. couldn't do enough for us again.. Gave us so much care and attention Brought us watermelon, special yogurt desert, cake n ice cream, grapes, ouzo and an ouzo mix made inhouse that i haven't tasted anywhere else that gawjuss.. Massive portion sizes as in pics Helped us understand far more than culture or food.. Also has a big play area for the kids at the back These guys and this place is outa this world. I could go on n on.. Truley heartwarming magical experience that we ended up there every night. Prices are so low n reasonable Beef chop (massive) for 12 € came with wedges rice and salad.. i got it with garlic sauce.. Chops(about a hundred)9.50€ comes with the same.. Meal for me n the mrs includings large beer n 2 drinks came to an average of 30€. Outstanding service n value for money. Truley divine place Make u feel soo welcome Torally different to most of the places here whos main objective is to bleed u dry as much as they can Dina, Angelos, mama n the team. If you love meat this is the place to go! But also for the other food ofcourse. It was the last night of the season and our last night of the holiday and this was one of the last restaurants that was open. We had past it several times before and it was always busy and we were haooy and certainly not disappointed that we could still visit it. Ordered a Greek Salad and the mixed grill for 2 persons. The salad was huge and the plate of mixed grill was even bigger! We could have ordered just for one person and it would still have been more than enough. But luckily we were hungry. After the dinner we got a free dessert with also a bottle of raki and and a mixture of ouzo with juice. All delicious and super...

A family run restaurant with beautiful seating under a vineyard and delicious authentic greek food. I tried the greek platter for one, it was a generous portion and loved every bit of it. It came with a little salad on the side which paired so well with its dressing that I wanted more of it. Big portions for a very good price. We didn’t have to wait long for the food either. The service was great and the food was even better!! One of the best places to go when you’re in Platanias I’d say. The owner was a lovely lady. And gave as complimentary homemade ice cream and cakes with ouzolemonade and raki.

Definitely looking forward to coming back to try other things on their menu!...
