If you want a really good meal and honestly traditional greek food then you Quizz is really worth a visit. It is located just 10m off the main road which is great, because otherwise it would be so crowded there you'd never get a seat. The owners are not only very friendly, but also really heart warming with a desire to let you experience their passion for food, for real greek food. We are a German/Colombian couple who found that place by accident and came back several times afterwards, because everything tasted so fresh. Later we found out that they do not even use a freezer, everything is homemade and really fresh. Order the Pita and you will see what I mean. It is no doubt the best Pita I have ever tasted, fresh from the oven and homemade. Anyway, food lovers, with a sense for culture, who enjoy great hosts ... this is a special tip for you. And by the way, the owners worked in star Michellin gastronomy before, you will quickly realize when you experience how they treat...

A real gem among the many tourist-hunting average restaurants. This small family restaurant hides in a tiny side street. It's a good thing, because the atmosphere that this restaurant offers is better suited to a peaceful, calm, noise-free environment. In the restaurant, the owners cook and serve, the traditional Cretan dishes. For the discerning eye, already the menu offer will pique his interest. The offer is very well thought out and selected. From appetizers to main courses, it gives you a glimpse into the world of homemade Cretan food. Homemade barley pasta (gioyvetsi) with beef in tomato sauce is more than food, it's almost art... I can only give this restaurant five stars - but I wish I could give more as the food quality, service and general experience is as authentic and Greek as it comes. We visited them twice during our stay, and both times they delivered high quality meals. It’s obvious the couple that runs it (sorry I forgot your names) enjoy making great food as well as delivering a nice positive experience for their guests. I love them for it. I recommend the starters (beware that they serve big portions, but if you exaggerate your waiter will be sure to mention that you might exceed the limits).
