This was honestly one of the most fantastic restaurants that I have ever been too and easily the best on Poros.
We were given a table right next to the sea where we could see the most beautiful sunset drop below the mountains, the lovely family who run this place should be proud, the food is superb, it felt like I’d been invited into a Greek families home, as the front of the menu suggests this is exactly mummys cooking. We ordered dishes based upon the recommendations suggested and were not disappointed, the feta bouyiourdi was the best Appetizer I’ve ever had. The fish was so fresh and what was best was all the ingredients that we had were local with the tomatoes coming from a small village not far away.
Although it may seem a bit of a walk from Poros centre, it is fully worth it, I promise you won’t be disappointed, if you dock your boat near here you should visit, the experience is made even better by being able to see what’s cooking in the kitchen and dishes can be made to your preference if required, I wish I could visit all the time.
Thank you for having us and I can’t wait to return next time I...
Read morehad the pleasure of dining at Geysi Ploia in Poros, and it was truly a delightful experience. This is a simple, unassuming restaurant where Ada, the owner, cooks and serves the food herself. And let me tell you, the Greek cuisine here is nothing short of delicious.
One thing that immediately struck me was the generous portions. Whether you're a hearty eater or just looking to sample a variety of dishes, Geysi Ploia won't disappoint. The flavors of Greece come alive on your plate, and each dish is prepared with care and authenticity.
But what truly sets this restaurant apart is Ada herself. She has a very warm and welcoming personality that instantly makes you feel at home. Her genuine hospitality adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the dining experience, and you can tell that she takes great pride in her work.
If you're in Poros and craving some delicious Greek food served with a side of warmth and hospitality, don't hesitate to visit Geysi Ploia. You'll not only have a wonderful meal but also leave with a sense of gratitude for Ada's exceptional service. It's a hidden gem that deserves to...
Read moreCame here with group of friends. We ordered multiple wild fish, some fresh shrimps and appetizers. Appetizers were so so - hot cheese is not what you would think it would be, it is just some spread with a little bit of spice, bread was few days old, eggplant was ok. The main dishes were big let down - we waited for more than 2 hours for first wild fish. It was quite big and tased fine (was 20 euro so you would expect decent fish) but every one after that was smaller and smaller - the last two were more like sardines, than main dish fish (maybe around 10-15cm long) and when we argued that it is not a meal for adult person, they told us that the smaller ones are "only" 15euro. We saw such fish for 5euro per kilogram at fish market, so one would be 1euro max. Now the even worse experience. Fresh shrimps for 23eur were just 5 really small pieces and only side dish was tomato. After 2,5 hours i was still waiting for my shrimp spaghetti and the lady asked me if I still want my meal. It was 10:15pm so I just told her to not even start preparing it ... Haven't had such a bad...
