SAIL Sushi Cocktail Bar — Restaurant in Municipality of Poros

Despite all good reviews, you can call it a cocktail bar, but not a sushi bar. For those who ever tried sushi before, this place will leave them disappointed. Though the interior design is nice, the sushi experience have to be vastly improved. The size of the plate and the size of 1 piece sushi is extremely small (from my experience from different countries serving sushi), the serving of the plate is literally absent (anyone does better home with YouTube tutorials), the rapping of sushi is amateur and finally, they just kill the plate by combining all of them (different orders) in one plate. Why for God's sake? To spare on washing dishes? And the wasabi was served as black caviar, the size of a peanut. The soya sauce was from 1 use plastic serving instead of a bottle, so we had to ask for extra. I felt being poorly rather than exclusively served by the lack of quantity in every order.

One has the feeling the kitchen of the business needs to be educated in terms of sushi matters. You can't just run an old traditional sushi cuisine like this, honestly my grandma would do better.

All in all, that evening I was ready to pay anything for a good sushi experience, but I consider it now as a loss of money. I tried fantastic sushi in Serena before they closed. I whish I could try again in another sushi place, but there's only one on Poros Island now.

The good thing about this cocktail bar is that the staff is very friendly! I hope they will improve the quality of the old Japanese sushi preparation and serving and meet the demand of the locals and tourists. I hope they will have success in future and not be a sushi bar with the lifespan of a butterfly. I wish the cocktail bar...

We were there by 23:00pm, we asked in the entrance the gentleman who was checking for the vaccination certificates if they still serve sushi and he answered that the kitchen is still open, hence we sat down and waited. We were waiting for the waiter to come and take the order, by the time we wanted to give our cocktails and sushi order, the waiter came to us and informed us politely that the Kitchen is closed. To cut story short of course we did not stay there as we wanted to grab some sushi. Thing is that the gentleman in the door never communicated the request to the Chef that we had informed of our sushi order before choosing to sit there. You should definitely find a way to communicate with each other, door man with kitchen...

I don't really leave negative reviews about places I've been but in this case, I think I had to.

The bar/club was one of the worst places to have a drink in Poros. The drinks they serve are adulterated. I ordered a Jameson whisky, and just from the first sip you can tell that this is so bad.

Second of all, although smoking indoors is not permitted, you could see 90% of the customers smoking, making it unacceptable.

Ventilation was non existing, with no windows to get fresh air, especially with all of the covid restrictions.

The service was horrible and the stuff makes you feel unwelcome.

I would not recommend to visit this place. There are much nicer venues that you can enjoy a drink and...
