Great food, exceptional view and lovely atmosphere. Sadly the night had a very unpleasant ending. We had ordered "two glasses of rose" with food and later asked for another two glasses assuming we would get house wine priced something like 4-5€ per glass. We were very surprised to find out that they were trying to charge us 41€, the price of a whole nicer bottle, for those four separate glasses of wine. In a sense this is understandable, but we did feel they were knowingly trying to overcharge us. The waiter never told us they don't sell rose by the glass nor that they had picked one of the most expensive bottles from the menu. Also we didn't get a chance to taste the wine beforehand - actually we never saw this nicer bottle of wine they were trying to charge us. When pointing this out the waiter offered to charge us only three glasses, admitting he should have asked before choosing a relatively expensive option. A little misleading is that on their website they have four roses by the glass listed. Maybe they just forgot to update? Also we were left wondering why asking about the pricing resulted in such an offended reaction. As if we were being rude and insulting - just for asking, not even blaming for anything. This offended behavior continued while paying and when there was a little mix-up with the payment method. My friend actually felt even a little intimidated. Overall a very bad ending for our visit which ruined an otherwise excellent...
Read moreOur party of four had an excellent meal and experience at this lovely restaurant. The sea bass for two was divine—possibly the best seafood we’ve ever tasted. It was grilled to perfection.
The eggplant spread was filled with flavor—so fresh and delicious. We also so enjoyed the cheese saganaki with fig. Again—so fresh and the flavor just jumped out. The Greek salad could have used a little more flavor but the feta on it was extra good and quite generous. And the guacamole (which was not something we’d seen on most menus) was very flavorful. We also had the pork ribs that had been slow cooked for 20 hours. They were good but not outstanding. A bit too fatty. Typically meat slow cooked so long falls of the bone. This did not but it was still tasty.
One in our party had a mojito and one had a coconut granita. Both loved their drinks. The mojito was especially herby and summery. The granita was unique and I’d highly recommend it. Finally: the restaurant offered desserts and raki shots on the house. The flan were creamy and good, and the chocolate cake was a generous serving and very rich and tasty.
The service was impeccable. The waiters were attentive and friendly.
It was our best...
Read moreThis place was so good, I almost want to keep it a secret because it felt like a little sunset oasis, away from the busy tourist places. But it was also so good, that it deserves a 5 star review! We were looked after by the lovely Manolis, who shared with us we could choose fresh fish for dinner and head to the kitchen to see what they had, which is exactly what we did. This is where we met the owner Yiannis who shared with us what we could choose, we opted for a whole fresh tuna to share. With the most gorgeous perfect view of the sunset that gradually met the sea, we indulged in the most delicious tzatziki, so incredibly fresh. And then came the tuna, and just wow, cooked to perfection served with potatoes and roasted vegetables, it was a heavenly experience. Just when we didn’t think we could fit any more food in, we enjoyed the pane cotta and chocolate cake! The service was so friendly and accommodating - wonderful staff! We’re not here for long but we will have to go here one more time before we fly home, I’m not sure...
