Philikon Luxury Suites — Hotel in Municipality of Rethymnon

Great location, near old town (3 min walk). The suites are part of 4 suites behind security door that opens up to a little courtyard. Courtyard has a few chairs/table and the greenery is starting to grow…by summer 23, it will be a lush garden oasis. The suite had full kitchen, all utensils, pans, plates etc. Good large fridge/freezer. Microwave. Toaster, sandwich press, coffee machine etc. We stayed 7 days and loved our time there. We met the owners who were lovely and gave us fruit every few days, even some oregano day before we left to take home with us. Very thoughtful. Communication with Eva (daughter) was easy and timely. Check in/out easy. Bed was a little hard (another review suggested a bed topper..I second that thought). The property is relatively new so they are adding features as they go, eg a drying rack outside. Suite has a washing machine so this is useful. Parking directions were spot on. Easy to find a park, but sometimes had to drive around the block a few times. Careful not to park in suggested location on market days (Sat). Would we stay there again?…YES in...

Absolutely superb place to stay for what we want. Been going to Crete for about 25 years and more than once a year and this is the best accom we've had. Very comfortable and so much more room than we have had before. Close to Old town but still quiet. Also not far from bus station (not that we arrived that way) Not sure what the situation is for change of linen towels etc. for longer stays. We were there for 4 nights only but wished we had booked for longer. Nice big towels, roomy showers (2 bathrooms and one shower is a double shower) Washing machine with powder provided. Dishwasher with capsules provided. Outside space for ground floor appartments, we were on the top level which had a small balcony which we didn't use. I think you could sit out in the courtyard but we didn't. It was perfect for what we want from a place but we are quite happy not to be disturbed with cleaners coming in every day. Placed in a quiet place in the old town, 3 minutes walk from the free parking, 2 minutes walk from the center, there is the most beautiful, relaxed, well equipped place to stay in Rethymno. We found a spacious stay with a bedroom with bathroom and a spacious living room, kitchen with all the amenities. Very clen, perfect mattress, smart TV in each room. Very clean room, very friendly people, who had the kindness to tell us places to see and where to taste the traditional food of Crete.
