Cook Book Pizza & Pasta — Restaurant in Municipality of Rethymnon

My review is based on two visits. First time we stopped to this restaurant with 8 people group. We ordered 8 drinks and got them. When we got back to hotel we noticed that they charged too many drinks from us (3.50€ extra). Yes, I know it is our mistake too because we didn’t check the receipt in the restaurant. On this visit service was good and everything went well expect for this extra charging.

Our second time on this restaurant was when we went to eat there. First waitress was hasty and she looked like a busy - she wanted to take next orders before the previous was even ready. 2 of our group ordered garlic bread as a starter. Even they were starters they came after main dishes, they forgot to made them. That wasn’t only mistake what happened at this visit. The second one was when half of our group has already eaten and my food hasn’t even came. I noticed when two cooks took receipt and watched me when I was without food and others from my group has almost eaten. Then they stopped making next order and started to make my pizza very fastly. So they forgot one of the main dishes too and started to make next order. I got my pizza and there was a hole in the middle of the pizza. But that’s okay, I understand that sometimes can happen something like that when making pizza. This time charging went right.

In my opinion the food was very delicious. Atmosphere was good and the restaurant was clean. Service was kind but as I already said the first waitress was little bit too hasty. Second waitress served goodly. Kitchen didn’t work as it should. Overall I still recommend this place because the food was very delicious, service was kind and the restaurant is nice place to be. Nice truffle and ok shrimp pasta. Both a bit tasteless but can make up for it with salt, pepper and cheese from beside. Kind staff but not paying much attention to the tables and we had to go up and ask for more water and our check. The location is great, no traffic or much sound, cozy street that’s not crowded. Very nice interior and plates as well. Fair prices for the once again huge portions. Could recommend a visit but personally would not go...

Everything was great. The Pizza (mine was a „Rustica“) was crispy, flavorful and garlicky just how I wanted it!! A lot of different options, so everyone will find something. I loved how they served it on a little wooden platter, which made it really comfortable to eat! ;) The Music choice was fun and pleasant, (overall classics). Very nice ambience!
