We booked Flora for our wedding reception on November 24th. All our communication was with Antonis and because he was very helpful and friendly we were very much looking forward to the event. Unfortunately, when the time came for the reception, Antonis was not there and his father had to take over for us. I don't know how things would have turned out if Antonis had been the one to organize the reception, however, with his father we were very dissatisfied. The service was unacceptably slow and the food was very late arriving at the tables and the portions of appetizers were not properly matched to the people. Most of the time the waiters didn't even give the tables the choice of chicken or steak even though it was on the menu we paid for. I don't know if this was all done on purpose because there was an argument before the event and because we had already paid, however it was unacceptable for 70 people to make so many mistakes especially when the owner had ostentatiously told us that his restaurant could seat 250 people and he would keep it open for people on the day of the reception even though we had booked the venue for us. Another fault were the tables, which were piled up on one side of the restaurant so that they were all stuck together and there were people at the wedding table sitting with their backs to the orchestra. For the money we paid, the whole organization was unacceptable. The icing on the cake, of course, was when a lottery seller entered the restaurant and there was nobody from.the venue to take him out, so we were forced to ran to take him out. This is THE place to eat high quality lamb - tender & juicy, delicious grilled lamb. Trust me - I'm Portuguese, I grew up eating lamb from the small farms and learned from the best (my dad).
Ah, important to also mention the head of the kitchen (Michael's wife 😄) who made us fries - no, not the pre-fried ready bags! Freshly cut potatoes and fried - exactly as I remember from my childhood & how my mom still cooks them today.
