Rooms were clean but very very dated, bed uncomfortable and extreamly squeaky, mattress on a slope where it didn't fit the bed base, And sliding doors were a nightmare to use as they slid open ok but had to lift, and rock to shut. Don't expect too much at the pool bar, the girl there sits on her phone all day and very unfriendly, seemed like we were interrupting her when asking for a drink and no care in pouring a beer with heads bigger than the actual drink. Small glasses for soft drinks, so gone in 2 sips then interrupt her calls again. Small beer cups are limited from the freezer because the girl is too busy on the phone to wash up and replace, and the pool snacks....well... go to the supermarket along the road unless you're the cookie monster because thats all I really saw available...Many sunbeds are broken but nice garden and pool. Dining area is like having dinner in a morgue, you can hear a pin drop, no music or relaxation so people whispering instead of enjoying a normal conversation. Food very hit and miss, cold/luke warm at best with the occasional hot meal (generally the later you leave it) I think it comes up cold from the kitchen and relies on the steam from bain Marie to heat up which takes a while so don't get there early. scrambled egg has to be the worst I've ever had. If you're over 5ft 10 mind your head by the toaster....I never learnt, hit my head most days. The lady there is friendly and will say hello if you speak to her first. Anastasia at the reception was the star. Very friendly and welcoming and seemed to be there 24/7. Hotel bar was poor. Soft drinks are from bottles so usually flat, no cocktails available all inclusive unlike other hotels, and again glasses were small and ridiculous. Spirits are local and weak, 20% alcohol instead of the UK 37-40% on vodka. Barman was friendly but we ended up going out most nights for a proper drink. Maintenance man deserves a shout out. Friendly and definitely one of the hardest workers, clearing up the pool bar from how the girl left it, fixed our lights quickly and covered the dining room occasionally and was working non stop clearing, cleaning and tidying. Location is ok, get a car if you can but if not busses too and from here are ok but very rarely on time and sometimes didn't stop because they were full. Nearest walking distance beach is littered and pebbly- better beach at Tsambika reached by bus. All in all it wasn't the worst experience but was enough to put me off ever going all inclusive again. I wouldn't return. Hotel is more a 2...

The positive aspects are tropical garden and friendly attitude of the workers, but they could not cover the negative aspects of the hotel.
The worst issue is the mold and the pervasive mold smell in the rooms, which is extremely unhealthy. The bungalows are old and unrenovated, resulting in a very strong mold smell. We were traveling with kids and were shown three bungalows, but even in the "best" one, we couldn't stay and left the accommodation after the first night.
It is almost impossible to sleep with an open terrace door to ventilate and avoid the mold smell, as street cats will jump on your bed and flies will disturb your night.
The hotel's kitchen is located in the basement, and if you visit the public toilet downstairs next to the kitchen, the mold smell is so strong that you do not want to stay there for even a minute. The all-inclusive food is cheap and canteen-like, and while it is okay, I do not want to eat mold spores with my food, after I have seen the kitchen door in the basement.
The children's playground is falling apart, and the mentioned mini-zoo in other reviews is not worth it for kids, as you can only see the animals through a small door.
To summarize, the owner is trying to make money with accommodations that are potentially hazardous to the health of travelers. The black and green mold next to your bed could be just painted over, so that you have to look for where the smell coming from and the air conditioner will be nicely distrubuting the mold spores everywhere in your room. This was the case in the first room we have got. They can also cover this smell with the strong smell of cleaning agents.
The 8.7 rating for Oasis Hotel on Booking.com seems significantly overrated and does not reflect the reality we experienced. A closer look at the reviews reveals that almost all recent reviews are 9 and 10, which are possibly fake. Check other review platforms or book just one night to see for yourself, as there are always rooms available. We usually rely on reviews and ratings, so we are deeply disappointed with this holiday experience. Additionally, we did not receive any refund...
Read moreOur 2nd year in a row staying at Oasis. We (and our friends) definitely came back for a reason! The small intimate feel of the hotel and grounds are much more suitable for those of us that struggle with large and intimidating hotels. There's a friendly and casual vibe, the grounds are a small paradise, cats are an added bonus - this is the second year I'm bringing back a greek rescue from the hotel.
Some of the poor rated reviews shock me and some of the "issues" stated are out of the hotels control! This year the pool bar was self serve, as the amazing barman Nick (who we partially came back for, and for whom there have been countless amazing reviews over the last few years) has unfortunately lost his life meaning the hotel is slightly understaffed, but doing the best they can considering the tragic circumstances. Self serve bar was not an issue at all. Equally, how is the hotel meant to have control of wet sun loungers when people get out of the pool and lie on them 😂.
Food canteen, buffet style is repetitive but good healthy food and and yummy, although some of the dishes were very salty. As a vegetarian it would be nice to see a few more options but I still came away from every meal well fed!
And then the lovely barmaid Sophia who provided great entertainment and conversation in the evenings, and has her amazing list of cocktails - she is a credit to the hotel! Along with all the other amazing staff, including Panos who work long and hard jobs and don't get enough credit for it.
We will most definitely be back again - we wish we could live here!
We also recommend the sky bar restaurant in Afandou which is an easy 20 minutes walk away.
The staff on reception are very helpful at explaining the local buses or helping to call cabs for...
