Gala Seaside Kitchen + Bar — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

Despite the challenges of Covid my wife and I managed a brief trip to our favourite Greek island Rhodes. We ate four amazing meals at the Gala right on the beach front. Amazing lamb chops, a real twist on a Greek classic, and similarly the meatballs were epic. Really impressed by the quality of the dishes, the simplicity of them and fundamentally the taste. Try the Baklava which is a deconstructed version and so tasty! Service was excellent and super friendly. We had an exceptional waitress Marina who looked after us so well, even tipping us about an incredible blood moon rise and seating us for the best view. We even learned a little Greek. All the weighters and bar staff were so kind and we shared some laughs over wine corks, cats and our poor Greek. We already miss this place. We ate breakfast here every day for a week during our stay in Faliraki. Hands down the best poached eggs I've ever eaten. Cooked tomato, soft chunky bread, delicious pesto-mayo sauce. The side salad was good too (would love to know what they use as dressing, because I have never eaten a side salad at breakfast before, but I think I could eat that every day!!). The spinach omelette was tasty too, as was the continental spread (honey and Greek yoghurt was divine). What can I say about this place except that I woke up in the morning thinking about the poached eggs... Friendly, quick and gentle service, beautiful open view of the sea and surrounding coastline, and cool blue decor inside. Literally cannot recommend the poached egg breakfast enough....

Long story short. This place is a must-visit if you're staying in- or close to Faliraki. The taste is real and the ingredients are all fresh. The service is next-level (especially Marina) and the cocktails just as good. I was truly amazed by something as simple as their hummus, which is by far the best i've ever had. I was also lucky to get the "yellow greek carbonara" recommended, and it was an extremely different and refreshing take on a if you ask me; untoucheable dish. I can't get my hands down over this place, and i recommend everyone to visit it at least 10...
