Tsambikos Restaurant 1977 — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

During our stay in Faliraki my boyfriend and I visited Tsambikos Restaurant 1977 almost every night. We kept coming back because of the amazing food, the enchanting atmosphere and the wonderful family that runs the place.

Tsambikos Restaurant has a great variety of food to order, there's something for everyone. We very much enjoyed the traditional stuff like Greek salad and Rhodian pitta, which was excellent, full of great taste and a great experience every time. The sea food was also incredibly tasty and a must to try!

The restaurant overlooks the beach with the most wonderful view. We had many idyllic evenings watching the moon and it's glow in the calm waves of the sea. There are many beautiful trees and palm trees sorrounding the place which perfects the whole scenery. The interior of the restaurant is very pleasant and neat - it's the perfect setting if you're looking for a romantic evening.

But the best thing about the restaurant has to be it's owners, the kind family that owns and runs the place. We had the pleasure of having Christina and her mother as waiters, and they are the best and kindest waiters we've ever had. They were so sweet and did so much to ensure that we had a pleasant experience. They treated us with a kindness and sincerety that we haven't experienced anywhere else, ever.

We ate at Tsambikos restaurant on Kathara Beach four times during our 9 night stay in September 2024. It was fantastic every time and easily the best restaurant in the area. We stumbled upon the restaurant accidentally two years previously, on our last evening in Faliraki, and were blown away by the delicious food.

The food is all home cooked and each dish was amazing - without exception. There is also a very good wine selection with some great local wines available. The restaurant has a really friendly atmosphere - as a family run business, everyone was involved, making it a special and welcoming place. ‘Mama’ greeted us every evening and made us feel part of the family.
