Meltemi Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

We had BAD experience at Meltemi and would definitely NOT come back!

We were barely seated when the waitress (the thin one with very long brown hair in a ponytail) came...no welcome, no greeting, she directly asked "what are you drinking". Afterwards when she came back with the water we ordered she spilled part of it on the table. She didn't excuse, didn't say anything and left. We asked the other waitress to clear the spilled water (at least this one was kind). In the meantime I noticed that the fork was not clean. I asked for a new one and when the frowning waitress came, she said just "OK?". No apology..nothing...

First I will say I posted a review 3 week ago when I was on a 4 weeks holiday in pefkos the reply I got back from the owners made me feel threatened so I withdrew it. Now back home here's my review again, we had both had fish and chips, the fish is a really small pieces surrounded by the most horrible donut batter imaginable, the owners will say we didn't complain but what would be the point but we left a pile of inedible batter , when the waiter came and asked was everything ok, we just pointed to the pile of uneditable batter he didn't give a care. This is an absolute gem of a restaurant. We visited as it was a part of our amazing hotel recommendation. There was no wait at all and we were seated quickly in the spotless, stunning ground floor. We were asked if we would prefer to sit on the roof terrace as the sun was setting. The waiter/waitress advised us of the wines and what wines were sweet/dry etc as I wanted a Greek wine. The food was amazing, very well prepared traditional Greek cuisine from γιαγιάδες (grandmas) menu.
